Suite Selva Dorada

Golden hour, every hour

The Suite

The upper-floor sunset suite. Rich teak grain and marble surfaces catch the late Pacific light. Designed to be lived in slowly — the suite the sun pays the longest visit to.

The Great Room

Golden hour, every hour.

From three in the afternoon onward, the suite turns gold. Light pours through the west-facing glass, falls across the teak floor, and climbs the marble island.

The Kitchen

The slow grain of teak.

Selva Dorada means 'golden jungle,' and the materials were chosen to deepen rather than fade. The teak grows richer with each year of sun.

Sleep

A king in white linen.

The master faces west, so the last of the day slips across the linen before the shutters close. A brass reading lamp; a small teak bench; nothing more.

We named it Selva Dorada because of what the light does at five o'clock. Stay one evening and you'll understand.
